Crash: Bhoja B732 at Islamabad on Apr 20th 2012, impacted terrain on approach

Bhoja Air Boeing 737-200, registration AP-BKC performing flight B4-213 from Karachi to Islamabad (Pakistan) with 121 passengers and 6 crew, impacted terrain about 5 km short of and slightly left of the extended runway center line of Islamabad’s runway 30 near Jinnah Gardens, completely broke up, burst into flames and came to rest in Hussain Abad Village at about 18:46L (13:46Z). About 50 houses on the ground were destroyed, the crash site extends over a distance of about 4000 meters, the main wreckage came to rest about 4km short of the runway. All occupants of the aircraft perished in the crash, authorities reported there have been no fatalities on the ground. اقراء المزيد »

A Hewa Bora Airways Boeing 727-100, registration 9Q-COP performing flight EO-952 from Kinshana N’Djili to Kisangani (Democratic Republic of Congo) with 112 people on board, missed Kisangani’s runway while attempting to land in poor weather conditions (heavy rain, limited visibility, thunderstorms in the area) at 15:00L (14:00Z) and broke up coming to rest about 300 meters from the runway. Crash: Rusair T134 at Petrozavodsk on Jun 20th 2011, impacted road short of runway

A Rusair Tupolev TU-134A on behalf of Rusline, registration RA-65691 performing flight 7R-243 from Moscow Domodedovo to Petrozavodsk (Russia) with 43 passengers and 9 crew, impacted trees south of road A-133, fell onto the road about 800 meters/2600 feet short of Petrozavodsk’s runway 01 and burst into flames about 23:40L (19:40Z). The aircraft came to rest in the gardens of several private homes at the outskirts of the Besovets village however without hitting the homes. 45 occupants perished in the crash.اقراء المزيد »

The AnAn Airzena Georgian Airways Canadair CRJ-100 on behalf of the United Nations Organisation (UNO), registration 4L-GAE performing flight 834 from Kisangani to Kinshasa N’Djili (Democratic Republic of Congo) with 29 passengers and 4 crew, was on an instrument approach to Kinshasa N’Djili’s runway 24 around 13:30L (12:30Z) in torrential rain, thunderstorms and low visibility, when the airplane missed the runway, broke up into several parts upon ground contact and came to rest off the runway abeam the military apron. 33 occupants perished, only one occupants survived with serious injuries, the airplane was destroyed. اقراء المزيد »
A Trans Air Congo Antonov AN-12, registration TN-AGK performing freight flight from Brazzaville to Pointe Noire (Congo) with 4 crew, impacted buildings in the residential area of Mvoumvou (northeast of and immediately adjacent to the city center of Pointe Noire) while on approach to Pointe Noire’s runway 17 after having been cleared to land by the control tower. An Antonov/Voronezh Aircraft Joint Stock Company Antonov AN-148-100, registration 61708 performing a training flight from Voronezh to Voronezh (Russia) with 6 crew, was enroute about 134km (72nm) southsouthwest of Voronezh and about 160km (86nm) east of Belgorod when the aircraft lost height and impacted ground on private property in the village of Gorbuzovo Alekseevskogo around 11:05L (08:05Z).
